CSM Companies, Inc., located in Madison, WI, is currently looking for a talented individual to take on our Fleet Repair Advisor role. This is a key position within our corporate service team, and supports customers on a local, regional and national level.

The Advisor is tasked with providing top notch technical support to fleet customers – whether it be coordinating service at other dealerships, troubleshooting service questions or recommending solutions to technicians facing a challenge, among other duties.  This role requires an expert level knowledge of service and advanced communication skills, and will support both our CSM Companies technicians across the US as well as our fleet customers.

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as the customer advocate for service events at our branches and other dealer locations
  • Provide technical assistance for repairs both internal and external to our organization
  • Assist customers with unplanned, immediate need repair situations
  • Contact repairing location for regular updates on trucks throughout the repair process
  • Communicate frequently with customers
  • Escalate concerns if needed, and work with leadership to solve problems
  • Monitoring fleet vehicles for service campaigns and product recalls
  • Review truck warranty status for potential coverage during service events
  • Partner with both internal and external resources to expedite parts as needed
  • Track and report on metrics associated with service events
  • Assist with after-hours customer assistance requests on a limited basis
  • Provide both classroom-based and over the phone training to service technicians
  • Other duties as assigned depending on customer and company needs

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of heavy-duty truck service or directly related experience
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
  • Intermediate computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word and ability to become an expert user of OEM diagnostic software
  • Proven high learning aptitude
  • Ability to travel as needed, up to 20%
  • Work in an office environment, frequently sitting 8+ hours a day
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain a CDL within six months of employment
