Dedicated Fleet Services, located in Janesville, WI, is seeking an Inside Truck Sales person to join their team. Responsibilities include meeting or exceeding goals for profit margin, unit sales, and market share for used light, medium and heavy duty trucks. Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed unit sales goals for heavy duty used trucks
  • Cultivate and distribute used truck sales leads to other locations from web and sales calls generated from advertising
  • Prospect for new business through provided customer databases
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among all customers
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all products and services sold by the company

Primary Duties:

  • Answer and initiate customer interaction on all phone calls relating to used truck sales
  • Explore customer’s needs and options, and qualify customers purchasing abilities
  • Take credit applications over the phone
  • Maintain and enter data for customer profiles in company databases
  • Develop and maintain full understanding and practical application of the lease and finance options we provide
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of all company systems, procedures, and policies
  • Expedite the lease approval process through organization and communication methods
  • File complete and timely UPs reports on all walk-in and call-in sales prospects contacted
  • Facilitate timely deliveries of customer units
  • Follow up with sales people on leads given out
  • Promote the sales of warranty related to truck sales transactions

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s and/or degree or comparable work experience is preferred
  • One to two years of heavy duty truck sales or related experience is preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take calls after hours as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret truck specification lists and various other technical bulletins
  • Ability to demonstrate extensive product knowledge to customer in assisting with purchase decisions
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented and results driven
  • Ability to prioritize and handle numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure while assisting a wide variety of customers and fostering relationships with key industry contacts
  • Effective computer, mathematical and customer service skills
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Ability to work 8 – 10 hour days, including overtime hours as needed
  • Ability to work outdoors and in an environment with occasional exposure to weather elements
