Las Vegas, NV- PACCAR Parts is proud to announce their new Parts Distribution Center (PDC) opening in Las Vegas. This new facility is 250,000 square feet with a 20,000 square foot small parts mezzanine. This PDC serves 95 Kenworth, Peterbilt and TRP locations in both Southwest United States and Northwest Mexico regions.
“The new Las Vegas PDC features state-of-the-art technology that allows us to reduce the time between order placement and delivery. Ultimately, it is about getting our dealers the parts they need faster so we can maximize uptime for fleet customers,” said Jim Walenczak, PACCAR Parts assistant general manager – operations. Maximizing uptime and increasing parts availability for both customers and dealers is the key factor.
This new PDC has three times the capacity of the old facility and is the latest addition to the PACCAR Parts global distribution network. This network also includes 18 other PDC’s with more than 3.1 million square feet of warehouse space.
PACCAR Parts has done a strong job in keeping up with advanced technology and innovation in efforts to increase operational efficiency. Stock picking equipment with built in weight scales, voice directed picking technology, and an automated banding conveyance system used to boost order fulfillment. Other noticeable amenities are the warehouse air conditioning, 300kW solar panel system and reflective white roofing material to reduce building heat gain. A large training center, allowing PDC to host educational and informational meetings with dealers, fleet customers, suppliers and PACCAR employees. These are just some of the many upgrades to this new facility!
