Orlando Florida Kenworth is accepting applications for Body Shop Mechanic. Candidates must be mechanically inclined. Some experience in automotive maintenance is desirable, but we will train the right people. This is a great opportunity to join a progressive work environment and a growing dealer group.


  • Prepares vehicles for body repair work

Primary Duties:

  • Sand blasting vehicles to prepare them for painting
  • Using a paint gun to prime vehicles for painting
  • Communicates with and provides Shop Foreman with accurate and detailed repair information for inclusion on the Repair Order.
  • Performs road test on customer vehicles to assist in problem isolation or to verify repair procedure
  • Interacts with customers in a professional and positive manner
  • Assists other technicians with repair procedures as needed


  • Formal technical training degree, certificate or diploma or equivalent work experience
  • At least 3 years of auto body experience is preferred
  • I-car and A.S.E certifications are a plus
  • Able to perform a wide verity of auto body repairs including but not limited to small and large dent repair, removal, installation and proper alignment of body related parts
  • Personal tool inventory to allow for the completion of job duties and assignments
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret shop repair order forms, repair manuals, electrical schematics and various other technical bulletins
  • Ability to use computer keyboard and Windows basics
  • Ability to work in an environment with frequent exposure to outside weather elements
  • Ability to work in an environment that contains dust from sanding and possible paint fumes
  • Ability to work 8 – 10 hour days, including overtime hours as needed
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crawl, walk and sit on a regular basis with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds
