“The latest addition to the Kenworth T880 family provides an important new option for our vocational customers that expands their productivity,” said Laura Bloch, assistant general manager for sales and marketing at Kenworth.

Now available as a day cab, the new twin steer axles have set-back front axles which are great for crane, mixer and other on the job duties that require 86-inch axle spacing to meet local bridge laws and improve your overall cargo carrying capacity.

The twin steers provide 40,000 pound-rated front axles, spring and steering gears. In order to enhance greater driver comfortability and payload distribution, Kenworth equalized the front suspension between the front and rear steer axles.

The new T880 offers both the Paccar MX-13 (510 hp & 1,850 lb-ft of torque) and Paccar MX-11 (430 hp & 1,650 lb-ft of torque) engines. Twin steer has a standard 116.7-inch BBC short hood, and a 122.6-inch standard BBC hood as an option for the Paccar MX-13 or the Cummins X15 engine.
