York, NE – April 10, 2018 CSM Companies, their subsidiaries, and their employees are proud to be active members of their communities. Through events like Crazy Legs, Bowling for Kids’ Sake, and community mentoring, the CSM Family is helping make a difference in their communities.

Sahling Kenworth’s Tracy Rasmussen embodies the network-wide outreach of CSM Companies.

Tracy is incredibly active in her community. By setting high goals for the time she sets aside to volunteer, she is able to participate in many school activities and community functions. She is especially involved in two programs: Teammates and Relay for Life.

With Teammates, she volunteers as a mentor and has been mentoring the same student for three years. The Teammates program, set up by the legendary Cornhuskers’ football coach Tom Osborne, was started in 1991. Over the years, this program has grown to 143 chapters across the states of Nebraska and Iowa, and serves over 8,000 school aged students. Tracy meets with her mentee about once a week during the school year.

Meanwhile, Tracy is also active with the York County Relay for Life as a Team Development Leader. She volunteers at Relay for Life because:

“Cancer plagues the world, and I volunteer to bring together the community in the fight for a cure.  I Relay for my mom (breast cancer survivor), my dad (prostate cancer survivor), my brother (seminoma cancer survivor) and my sister (a 2-time leukemia survivor).  I have been a Relayer for ten years and on the committee for 8 of those years.”

Tracy (pictured in the center of the lower row above) has been with Sahling Kenworth for almost 13 years. She currently works as a Service Writer/Warranty Analyst at their York location. Her favorite aspects of the work week are coworkers, the flexibility of hours, and the variety of customers to interact with on a day-to-day basis. She is a social person and loves to meet new people, which is why she volunteers. She went on to add:

“Passion motivates me to do what I do for others.  It is my passion in life to be there for the weak, and help those that need help.  If I were the person needing something, I would hope that someone would do the same for me.  I have a huge heart and was always taught, do unto others as you would have done to you.”
