Premier Leasing, located in Madison, WI, is seeking a General Manager. Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a high level of overall customer satisfaction throughout the leasing and rental operations
- Establishes and meets leasing and rental profit targets
- Execute efficient maintenance spend on rental and lease fleet
- Achieve high rental utilization rates operating a profitable rental fleet
Primary Duties:
Rental
- Reviews and recommend certain lease and rental contracts and proposes credits and chargebacks as appropriate
- Establishes financial and operating objectives for the lease and rental business
Maintenance Spend
- Prepares operating and capital budgets for the lease and rental operations, reviews on a regular basis and takes corrective action as needed
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales
- Complete administrative duties related to account management by following up on accounts receivable, equipment delivery, completing reports, etc.
- Provide regularly scheduled updates and operational reports to management and CSM executive leadership
- Facilitate resolution of customer satisfaction issues including coordination and follow up with other departments and branches
- Follows up and collects vendor credits and allowances in a timely manner
Customer Service
- Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers’ needs and interests
- Prepare estimates, and proposals that meet specific customer needs
- Maintain current data for customer profiles in company databases
- Successfully complete product and sales training courses as assigned
- Develop and maintain full working knowledge of all company systems, procedures, and policies
- Facilitate timely deliveries of customer units
- Interviews, hires and trains a new sales force adequate to meet Premier Leasing’s sales and profit goals
- Establishes and fosters relationships with key outside businesses to include PACCAR, financial institutions, and vendors
- Addresses and handles personnel issues for Premier Leasing to include the Performance Appraisal program, Performance Improvement Plans and dictates disciplinary action as needed
- Facilitates customer relations by addressing all customer concerns and mediating a solution between all parties involved
Revenue Generation
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing customers, participating in organizations and associations, and attending trade shows and conferences
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
- Provide account management to lease customers by resolving operational and financial conflicts.
- Build relationships with leasing customers by acting as a transportation consultant, conducting periodic reviews, and managing the voice of the customer process.
- Call on all assigned accounts as scheduled and file complete and timely call reports
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Two or four-year technical degree preferred with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the heavy-duty transportation industry and at least 5 years in a supervisory role
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Management skills to include strategic plan development, decision making abilities and program implementation
- Supervisory skills to include the ability to coach, train and motivate subordinates to reach Interviews, hires and trains a new sales force adequate to meet Premier Leasing’s sales and profit goals
- Ability to demonstrate or display extensive product knowledge to customer and sales staff to assist with purchase decisions
- Ability to prioritize and process multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to establish and meet standards and deadlines for self and others
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License with a good driving record
- Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8 – 12-hour work days, with extended hours as needed, to include frequent sitting, walking and standing
- Work in an environment which necessitates the occasional lifting, stooping, bending, pushing or pulling of up 50 lbs.
